High-opacity, low-cure white plastisol ink formulated for dependable coverage, smooth printing, and efficient production on cotton, polyester, and blended garments.

Characteristics

SPSI Tru White Low Cure Plastisol Ink is a professional-grade white plastisol ink designed to provide strong opacity, smooth printability, and consistent production performance while curing at lower temperatures than conventional plastisol inks.

The low-cure formulation helps reduce the amount of heat applied to garments during production, making Tru White especially useful when printing heat-sensitive fabrics. Lower curing temperatures can also help reduce the risk of dye migration on polyester and polyester-blend garments. Testing is recommended because fabric dyes and garment constructions vary.

Tru White is formulated to deliver a bright, solid white appearance with good coverage and a smooth printed surface. It can be used as a stand-alone white or as an underbase beneath additional plastisol colors when strong color reproduction is required.

Its production-friendly consistency makes it suitable for both manual and automatic screen printing operations. Whether printing dark cotton T-shirts, polyester athletic apparel, or blended garments, SPSI Tru White provides dependable performance for a wide variety of textile printing applications.

Usage Tips ▼
  • Mix Before Printing: Thoroughly mix the ink before use to restore a smooth, uniform consistency.
  • Mesh Selection: Choose mesh count based on the desired opacity, image detail, and ink deposit. Lower mesh counts generally provide heavier deposits, while higher mesh counts can produce finer detail and a softer hand.
  • Printing on Dark Garments: Optimize off-contact, squeegee pressure, screen tension, and print parameters to achieve sufficient coverage without unnecessarily heavy ink deposits.
  • Print-Flash-Print: Flash only long enough to gel the first ink layer. Excessive flashing can affect intercoat adhesion and increase garment temperature.
  • Proper Curing: Verify that the complete ink film reaches the manufacturer's specified cure requirements. Dryer temperature settings alone do not confirm that the ink has fully cured.
  • Polyester Testing: Test polyester and other dye-sensitive garments before production. Low-temperature curing can reduce dye-migration risk but cannot guarantee migration resistance on every garment or dye system.
  • Cleanup: Use an appropriate plastisol ink cleaner or press wash to clean screens, squeegees, and printing equipment.
Important Printing Information ▼
  • Cure Temperature: Confirm the exact cure temperature and dwell time using the current SPSI technical specifications before beginning production.
  • Complete Cure: Ensure the entire ink deposit reaches the required cure temperature. Verify curing through appropriate temperature measurements and wash testing.
  • Dye Migration: Low-cure technology can help reduce dye migration, but results depend on the garment, fabric dyes, curing conditions, and printing process.
  • Production Testing: Test ink coverage, adhesion, curing, and dye-migration performance before beginning a full production run.
